What makes a good recording studio in Amman?
A good recording studio is three things working together: a room that does not colour the sound, a signal chain that captures it cleanly, and an engineer who knows what to do with both. Plenty of places in Amman offer studio recording; far fewer have rooms that were acoustically treated for it. Before you book any recording studio in Jordan, ask to see the rooms and ask who will actually be behind the desk.
At Static Studios everything happens in one acoustically treated room: you record, mix and master in the same space, on monitoring tuned to that room, so what you hear on the day is what the song sounds like everywhere else. The same people who record the session mix and master it, so nothing is lost between stages.
Which microphones and equipment should a professional studio have?
Microphones matter more than any plugin. A professional vocal recording studio should offer at least one large-diaphragm condenser, a broadcast dynamic for spoken word and loud sources, and instrument microphones for amps and drums — and the preamp in front of them matters almost as much.
Static Studios records through an SSL 18 interface with SSL preamps and an Avalon VT-737SP valve channel strip, into a Neumann TLM 103, an Aston Spirit, a Rode NT1-A, a Shure SM7B or a Shure SM57, depending on the voice or the instrument. Everything in the rack is owned by the studio, not hired in for the day — the full list, with specs, is in the equipment book.

Who has recorded at Static Studios?
The studio’s engineers have recorded, mixed and mastered some of the most-played records to come out of Amman, including Siilawy’s “عشانك”, Issam Alnajjar’s “One Of A Kind” and Saif Shroof’s “مصدق شو صار”. You can play all three on the portfolio page, each with a note on what was done to it.
How much does a recording session in Amman cost?
Recording studio prices in Amman depend on the room, the length of the session and whether mixing and mastering are included. Static Studios quotes every project individually rather than publishing a flat hourly rate: tell us what you are recording when you book and you get an exact price before anything is confirmed, with no surprise charges afterwards.
Referrals pay, too. Every client you send earns you 15% off your next session, and the discounts stack — details are on the booking page.
