Learn it on the gear
that made the records.

Static Studios teaches three course tracks in Amman — DJing, music production, and advanced mixing and mastering. Every course is taught one-to-one by a working engineer, in the studio's own room, on the same equipment the records are made on.

DJ Course

From your first beatmatch to reading a full room.

The Static Studios DJ course teaches beatmatching, phrasing, EQ blending and live transitions on club-standard decks in Amman. Lessons are one-to-one and run from complete beginner through to advanced — harmonic mixing, creative effects, and building a set that holds a room from first track to last.

Who it's for: Total beginners, bedroom DJs, and anyone about to play their first real booking.

The syllabus — 6 modules

  1. 01 The gear, demystified Decks, mixer, channels, gain structure. What every control actually does before you touch a track.
  2. 02 Beatmatching and phrasing Tempo, counting bars, finding the one. By ear first, so the sync button stays a convenience rather than a crutch.
  3. 03 EQ blending and transitions Swapping basslines cleanly, filter sweeps, echo-outs, and the transitions that do not announce themselves.
  4. 04 Harmonic mixing and key Camelot wheel, energy levels, and picking the next record for a reason rather than a hope.
  5. 05 Effects and creative mixing Loops, hot cues, acapella layering, and building a moment out of two records.
  6. 06 Reading the room Set structure, pacing, recovering a dead floor, and knowing which track is the wrong one before you play it.

You walk out able to

  • Mix two records by ear, without sync
  • Build and play a set that holds an hour
  • Record a mix worth sending to a promoter

Pricing depends on the track and how many sessions you book — you get the exact figure before anything is confirmed.

Music Production Course

Your DAW, your genre, finished tracks.

The music production course at Static Studios is taught in whichever DAW you work in — FL Studio, Ableton Live or Logic Pro. It covers sound selection, drum programming, chords and melody, arrangement and export, and is built around finishing tracks rather than collecting unfinished project files.

Who it's for: Self-taught producers stuck at eight-bar loops, and beginners starting from nothing.

The syllabus — 6 modules

  1. 01 Set up your DAW properly Templates, routing, shortcuts and a save discipline — in FL Studio, Ableton Live or Logic Pro. Whichever one you already use.
  2. 02 Drums and groove Programming patterns that move, choosing and layering sounds, swing, and why velocity matters more than the sample.
  3. 03 Chords, melody and bass Enough theory to be dangerous. Scales, progressions, voicings, and locking a bassline to the kick.
  4. 04 Sound selection and design Synthesis basics, sampling, and picking sounds that already sit together before any mixing happens.
  5. 05 Arrangement Turning a loop into a record — intro, tension, drop, and the edits that keep a listener to the end.
  6. 06 Finishing and exporting Rough mixing, stem export, and getting the track out of the box and into the world.

You walk out able to

  • Work confidently in FL Studio, Ableton Live or Logic Pro
  • Take an idea from empty project to full arrangement
  • Finish tracks instead of abandoning loops

Pricing depends on the track and how many sessions you book — you get the exact figure before anything is confirmed.

Advanced Mixing & Mastering

The part everyone guesses at, taught properly.

This course teaches mixing and mastering in the Static Studios treated room on the studio monitoring: gain staging, EQ and compression with intent, bus processing, depth and width, and mastering to streaming loudness targets. It is aimed at producers who can finish a track but cannot make it compete.

Who it's for: Producers and engineers whose mixes fall apart outside their own headphones.

The syllabus — 6 modules

  1. 01 Gain staging and mix prep Session organisation, levels, routing and reference tracks. Most mix problems are solved before the first plugin.
  2. 02 EQ with intent Subtractive and additive, resonance hunting, and carving space so two things can occupy one frequency range.
  3. 03 Compression and dynamics Attack, release, ratio and knee — parallel, serial, and sidechain — and what each one is actually for.
  4. 04 Depth, width and space Reverb and delay as distance, stereo imaging, and mono compatibility that survives a club system.
  5. 05 Bus processing and glue Group buses, the mix bus, saturation and the small moves that make a mix sound like one record.
  6. 06 Mastering and delivery Final EQ, limiting, loudness targets for streaming platforms, metering, and delivering files that pass QC.

You walk out able to

  • Mix a record that translates on any system
  • Master to streaming loudness without crushing it
  • Diagnose a mix by ear instead of by preset

Pricing depends on the track and how many sessions you book — you get the exact figure before anything is confirmed.

Everything people ask before signing up.

Including the one about price.

Do I need my own equipment to take a course?

No. All courses are taught at Static Studios on the studio own equipment — the decks for the DJ course, and the treated room and monitoring for production, mixing and mastering. If you have your own laptop or controller you are welcome to bring it, so you learn on the setup you will actually use at home.

Which DAW do you teach music production in?

We teach FL Studio, Ableton Live and Logic Pro. The course is built around whichever one you already use, or we will help you pick one in the first session. The concepts — arrangement, sound selection, mixing — carry across all three, so you are learning production rather than learning software.

Do I need any experience to start?

No. The DJ and music production courses both start from zero and assume no prior knowledge. Advanced Mixing & Mastering is the exception: it assumes you can already finish a track in a DAW, because the course is about making that track compete rather than about making it.

How much do the courses cost?

Pricing depends on the track you choose and how many sessions you book, so we quote it when you book rather than publishing a single number. Book a slot through Calendly or message the studio and you will get the exact price for what you need before anything is confirmed.

Are lessons one-to-one or in groups?

One-to-one. Every course is taught individually so the pace, the genre and the material follow you rather than a class average. That also means the schedule is yours to set — sessions are booked around your availability, seven days a week.

Where are the courses held?

At Static Studios, Ali As-Sarayra St, Raed Khalaf Complex, 2nd Floor, Office 10, Amman, Jordan. You learn in the same acoustically treated room the studio records and mixes in, on the same monitoring and gear.
